Carroll: Jennings and Mebane "questionable at best" for Sunday

Here's today's injury report. (Sorry it's late, had to drive back to T-Town to avoid crazy Friday traffic).

Pete Carroll said that corner Kelly Jennings is "questionable at best" for Sunday. And also labeled Brandon Mebane the same status. That means rookie Walter Thurmond would start at corner in place of Jennings.

Talked with Thurmond a little and he was excited about the prospect of covering Larry Fitzgerald.

"This is what you live for is to go against the best," Thurmond said. "I hope I can go against Larry the whole time. They're going to mix and move him around and get different matchups they want so they can get him the ball. We're going to play our sides, me and Marcus (Trufant) and play to the best of our abilities."

Also, Chester Pitts worked out a lot with the first team, but Carroll made it sound as though Ben Hamilton will still start and play at left guard.

"He's really improving. He's getting better," Carroll said of Pitts. "We haven't seen him at full speed yet, but he's getting close. It's just taken him quite a while to get the confidence to really bang on that leg, but he's practicing regularly now. He's still working his way back in though."

Carroll said they need to see Pitts go at full game-type speed before they put him out there.
