Morning links: NFL schedule release today

The league will announce dates and times for the regular season schedule this afternoon at 4 p.m. Pacific time.

New head coach Pete Carroll will face two of his former, top performers at USC this season. The Seahawks play Arizona, led by quarterback Matt Leinart, twice this season. Seattle also will travel to New Orleans to face the Super Bowl champions and all-purpose runner Reggie bush this season.

We will have the full schedule up when it’s announced this afternoon.

John Czarnecki of Fox Sports expects Carroll and the Seahawks to be one of the major power brokers in this year’s draft.
