Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor already have game faces on four days before Cincinnati

Half the "Legion of Boom" already has its game face on, four days before Seattle plays at Cincinnati in what should be the most direct test yet this season for the Seahawks’ secondary.

The Seahawks are 3-point underdogs for Sunday’s game at the undefeated Bengals, who throw the ball down the field more than anyone in the league.

Not that Earl Thomas believes or cares about who’s favored.

Asked before Thursday’s practice if he liked his defending two-time NFC champions being not being favored for a change, Thomas’ tone stayed as cold as his glare.

“We’re the underdog?” Thomas said, his voice rising with his eyes. “I don’t know. Who said we were the underdog?”

Told oddsmakers say so, Thomas shook his head.

“Oh, I don’t know. I’ve been in my house. So I don’t listen to them.”

A few minutes later, fellow safety Kam Chancellor was sitting inside his locker when former Seattle Times writer Les Carpenter, now writing sports for The Guardian, asked how he would describe himself to his Seahawks teammates.

“I’m The Enforcer,” Chancellor said.

He didn’t smile. He just glared. For a long, uncomfortable half-minute.
