It’s an example of Russell Wilson’s pop-culture status -- and social-media’s large reach -- that his homemade video playing around with an advertising display at an airport has gotten wide attention.
The Seahawks’ franchise quarterback posted a video of himself turning around a Bose speakers ad at San Francisco Airport away from Houston Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt facing the many passersby -- and to the side of the display featuring Wilson:
Wilson was traveling through SFO at the end of the Seahawks’ Monday-to-Monday bye week off. The team returned to the field Monday to begin practicing for Sunday’s NFC West showdown with first-place Arizona Sunday night at CenturyLink Field.
▪ The Seahawks have until Saturday at 5:30 p.m., 24 hours before Sunday’s kickoff, to activate WR Paul Richardson from the physically-unable-to-perform list if they want him to play against the Cardinals, as coach Pete Carroll has suggested he will. The obvious corresponding move would be placing Lockette on injured reserve.
▪ The team made two minor moves Tuesday. It signed rookie TE Harold Spears and DE Julius Warmsley to the practice squad. It also released TE RaShaun Allen and DT Robert Thomas from the practice squad.
