Seattle Sounders FC 2 forward Oalex Anderson has been called into the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Senior National team for two FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Guyana, and the U-23 National Team for a pair of Olympic qualifying fixtures against Dominica. The camp kicks-off St. Vincent's preparation for both the 2018 World Cup in Russia and 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

"It was a great start for me to come on, work hard and get a good performance in with S2 before going on international duty," said Anderson. "It will give me great momentum going into these qualifiers, and I hope to impress when I am down there." Anderson, 19, earns his second international call-up as he joins the St. Vincent U-23 National Team for a pair of Olympic qualifying matches against Dominica on May 20 and May 25. He then joins the Senior National Team for two 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Guyana on June 10 and June 14. "Oalex gets to make this kind of appearance at a very young age, and not very many people get that kind of opportunity," said S2 Head Coach and former St. Vincent National Team captain Ezra Hendrickson. "He has been good for us this season and we expect him to do very well for St. Vincent. I'll definitely be following and rooting the team on from home." The Barrouallie-native made his first international appearance for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on February 2, 2014 in a friendly against Dominica. He has since scored seven international goals, five of which came during 2014 Caribbean Cup qualification. Anderson has made four appearances since signing with S2 on March 28, 2015 and scored his first goal, the game-winner, in a 3-1 win over Oklahoma City Energy FC on May 15 at Starfire Stadium.
