The Sounders tend to train for about 90 minutes most sessions during the season, but one practice a week tends to be longer. Today was that day, as coach Sigi Schmid kept his team out of Starfire for a full two hours.
However, the practice seemed typical in other ways, and no particular news emerged from the interview session after.
The Sounders, of course, will host Chivas USA on Saturday, and that's the only team in the league that holds an 0-2 advantage over the Sounders. winning 2-0 and 1-0, both at Home Depot Center.
"We haven't scored a goal yet against Chivas," Schmid said. "And that's something that we'd like to change. We've got to concentate on creating our opportunities and making sure that we finish them."
