Thanks to those of you who shared some of your experiences while trying to get MLS Cup tickets, which went on sale to the general public today.
Here are a few of bottom line updates:
1.) Tickets remain available through Ticketmaster.
2.) The majority of the lower bowl has been sold.

3.) Upper level loge seats are being made available as needed.
The league points out that The previous 13 MLS Cups have drawn an average of 36,450 per game. So, I guess it should have been obvious that the Qwest Field game might call for more seats than are available in the Sounders' normal lower-bowl configuration.
Still, I know the Sounders weren't sure how much demand there would be to watch what could end up being, say, Houston vs. Columbus. And I was a little skeptical, too.
But the region just really seems to be into the sport right now, and it looks like Seattle's amazing entry to MLS is going to play out brilliantly ... right down to the last game: 5:30 p.m Nov. 22.
