USA national team forward Charlie Davies is out of intensive care. Here's a story from the U.S. Soccer site. (The page also has a link where you can email best wishes to Davies.)
Coach Sigi Schmid and a few Sounders know Davies, and Schmid had this to say a few days after the accident:
“I had Charlie with my under 20 qualifying team. Obviously Brad [Evans] and them know him as well, and Patrick Ianni. Everybody is obviously thoughts and prayers with Charlie and with his family. We hope that he has a speedy recovery. That’s really important because he was embarking on a promising career. Things were going well for him. He made a lot of strides on the soccer field and hopefully this is just a temporary situation for him. Obviously the other people involved in the accident, and especially the young woman who passed away, our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family because that’s a very unfortunate and sad situation.”
