Word out of Houston today that the lower bowl of Robertson Stadium is sold out for Sunday’s first-round-deciding game against the Sounders, although tickets remain in other areas.
This is in keeping with the recent habit in Houston, where the Dynamo'sthree most-recent playoff games have sold out (32,000 capacity).
I have been to one regular-season MLS game at Robertson Stadium, and it struck me as one of the MLS venues where the fans actually care.
"It's been a great crowd the last three years there," Sounders defender Patrick Ianni -- a former Dynamo -- said this week. "They come out strong. Their fans will be loud, and it will be a good atmosphere."

Here's a story from the Dynamo site about the club's relationship with its fans. And the story is also very complimentary to Sounders fans, who clearly set the standard in this league.)
This should all make for a great atmosphere for the final Sunday. And I don't think it will be a bad thing at all for the Sounders, who are used to playing before the league's largest and most enthusiastic crowds.
