Seattle Sounders FC fans will have a chance to meet players Steve Zakuani and James Riley on Saturday night, January 23, in a fundraising event to benefit the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund. Gorilla FC, a Sounders FC supporters club, will host the event at the George & Dragon Pub in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
There is a suggested donation of $5 for autographs and pictures with Zakuani and Riley. George & Dragon will also be collecting a $5 suggested door fee. Gorilla FC will be raffling autographed Sounders FC gear, used Zakuani shoes, gift certificates and more items. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket with all money going to Haiti. Save the Children, a Sounders FC charity partner, has launched an emergency relief effort to assist children and families in Haiti. Save the Children is on the ground, providing lifesaving assistance, such as food, water, shelter and child-friendly space.
