Sounders FC general manager Adrian Hanauer agreed today that maybe there had been a miscommunication for Freddie Ljungberg's agent yesterday, when the club indicated that it didn't know of Ljungberg's plans for reporting to the team.
But apparently that's behind them now, and the current plan is for Ljungberg to be in Seattle on Monday and ready to begin training with the Sounders. (Assuming there's no lockout by then.)
Hanauer said any issue like a fine would be determined later. And he said you can never say 100 percent that some kind of transfer couldn't possibly happen. However, his bottom line was happiness from the club to have its designated player back for a second season.
