And here's are a few other things he (and Sigi Schmid) had to say yesterday:
ESTRADA on his approach to his rookie season: I just run every opportunity I get. Run off the ball, just hustle every single play and not take a play off.
On his approach to reserve games:It’s just hustle. I try to run off the ball. If I lose the ball I try to get after it and work on my fitness. I feel like sometimes in training I feel like we take a lot of breaks. I feel like here it’s a full 90 minutes, so I try to run all game long.SCHMIDOn Estrada's progress: It’s just consistent effort at training. Today he gets a goal again. Obviously Fucito gets a couple of goals, alos. So they’re battling there. We thought the one week Fucito was a little bit ahead, we thought the next week Estrada was a little bit ahead. It’s good. Competition side is good to get yourself in there, so they have to continue to battle for the time.
I think he’s a little more aware of where he is on the fiel and what kind of decisions you make on different parts of the field. How you play in the final third offensive is different than how you play in front of your own goal.
It’s always a learning process. You never stop learning. If you stop learning it’s time to retire.
