Sounders-Whitecaps draw 2-2 in wild finish

[caption id="attachment_17322" align="aligncenter" width="480" caption="Vancouver supporters show the club, national and Canucks colors at Qwest Field."] [/caption]It's gone final at 2-2... and up-and-down game which has to be considered a disappointment for the Sounders, who are now 0-0-2 with both of their Cascadia Cup home games behind them.

“I thought we had more of the game for most of the night," coach Sigi Schmid said. "Obviously we fell behind on the penalty kick. I thought we had a bunch of good chances, half chances. I thought we were around the goal. I thought the soccer we played at times was very good. We eventually got the lead, then we made a mistake in the back and Hassli makes an unbelievable shot. So you walk away 2-2. For the gist of the game, I thought we were the better team.”

Nice pregame displays by Vancouver and Seattle supporters ... but of course there's no topping that pregame Portland display. And, unfortunately, the singer botched the lyrics to "O, Canada."
