No Sounders added to MLS All-Star team

Sounders coach Sigi Schmid didn't seem pleased with that league policy:

"I think we have some (players who are deserving)," Schmid said after training today. "I haven't seen the list, so I can't comment. I think obviously the player and the club should be able to deal with the conflict. If a guy's deserving, he should get selected."

That said, Sounder goalkeeper Kasey Keller -- who fans voted onto the MLS First XI -- actually held out hope that he might be able to make it from Panama to New York in time to make an appearance.

"I’m not quite sure if I’m going to be playing in the All-Star game yet," he said from the Sounders locker room on Saturday. "But that’s going to be a good team playing Man U in that All-Star game: so another opportunity for MLS to showcase itself against one of the great teams in the world."

(The MLS release lists Keller as inactive for the game.)
