Portland wins in MLS, weather wins in CCL

Updates: Portland kept its playoff hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Chivas USA.

Meanwhile, the all-MLS CONCACAF Champions League match between FC Dallas and Toronto was abandoned due to dangerous weather in Canada. The game will be reset to zero and a new full 90 minutes played Thursday.

Pregame: While the Sounders are off tonight, there are a couple of interesting televised games scheduled.

Chivas USA will visit Portland in a game that is important to each club's playoff hopes. The Timbers are currently three points out of playoff position, and a home loss to a rival in the race could prove to be, well, tim-berrrrr. (They're going to tire of that joke.) The game will be televised at 8 p.m. on Root. Here is an overview from MLSsoccer.com.

At 5 p.m., Toronto FC and FC Dallas will meet ... not in MLS, but rather a CONCACAF Champions League match. That one will be televised on Fox Soccer Channel. Here's a preview from the Toronto Sun.
