Seattle Sounders FC announced today that forward O'Brian White has undergone a second surgery on his leg to repair an arterial blockage
White will remain at Virginia Mason Medical Center for several days before returning home.
White, 25, was removed from the Disabled List on July 12. He had undergone surgery on April 27 to remove a blood clot. He has not appeared in any competitive matches since April 22. White has started seven matches, scoring two goals and adding two assists.
After the game we asked coach Sigi Schmid on the chances of White returning this season.
"I can't say that 100% right now but the chances of him coming back right now," he said. "... It looks more like he'll be done rather than coming back at this stage. What's more important for us is that they're able to resolve the issue on a permanent basis and that O'Brian will be able to resume his career. So when that's going to happen that's something that right now we're still in a wait-and-see."
