"I think it was a great goal," he said through a translator. "I had that great opportunity to have the ball (after) the 90th minute and I ended up one-on-one with the defender, and I was able to get past him, and I was able to get the goal in there and it felt really good."
He was asked whether he would have had the confidence to have held the ball that long in previous years.
"My first thought was to go on and shoot it," he said. "But I held onto it for a second, and the goalie made some movements that made me think, ‘You know what, I’m just going to try to draw him this way and shoot it the other direction.’ And it worked."
