Wild day in MLS; including race to face Sounders

The Sounders 2-1 win over San Jose before a massive crowd of 64,140 was only one of several interesting results across the league last night.

Among the others:

Dallas 2, Vancouver 0: This one pulls the Hoops even with Real Salt Lake in the race for third place in the MLS Western Conference. The third-place finisher will be the Sounders' opening-round opponent in the playoffs. RSL holds the tie-breaker.

Sporting KC 2, New York 0: Kansas City clinches a playoff spot, while the Red Bulls -- who haven't yet clinched anything -- lost Thierry Henry to a red card.

Toronto 1, Philadelphia 1: The Union clinches its first playoff berth behind Sebastien Le Toux's 11th goal of the season.

Elsewhere, Columbus clinched its playoff spot with a 3-0 win over New England; and Chicago scored twice in stoppage time to stun DC United, 2-1.
