Sounders Insider

Reading material before RSL-Sounders tonight

The papers here in Salt Lake City had plenty to squeeze in today, as BYU lost to TCU last night, Utah hosts Oregon State, and then of course there was that whole World Series thing. Still, there's no shortage of reading material on the RSL-Sounders playoff opener tonight.

The Deseret News looks at Real Salt Lake embracing the underdog role (which we blogged about earlier) and an interesting piece about the nice, healthy rivalry forged between Salt Lake and Seattle.

Meanwhile, the Salt Lake Tribune has a pretty deep preview package including a look at tactics, RSL's desire to take early advantage in the two-game series(which we blogged about earlier), the club's hope for a sellout crowd (it will take a good walk-up), and RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando offering limited good wishes to Kasey Keller.

And finally, before I go out to try and find the German bakery the Sounders coaches and staff were raving about this week, here's our News Tribune game preview, looking at the Sounders hopes of changing the club's the 0-for-postseason resume.
