RSL: Early minutes key in keeping Seattle crowd under control

Real Salt Lake Jason Kreis credited his home crowd for playing a role in this club's 3-0 win over Seattle last weekend at Rio Tinto Stadium.

"I’ll tell you what, that’s a credit to the crowd," he said. "That was the first time in a long time that I can remember at the beginning of the match looking around and saying, ‘the stands are almost full.’ Typically we have to wait until close to halftime to get the stands completely full and tonight they were almost full from before the kickoff. So it was a very, very loud start.”

A crowd at least twice as large will be at CenturyLink Field tomorrow night to watch the game that will resolve the series and end someone's season.

In this MLSsoccer.com story, Kreis said the Sounders crowd could be a factor again tomorrow -- especially if the Sounders score early. However, he points out that his team has played in Seattle and won in Seattle and maybe even has played in tougher places.
