Folks at Sounders training got some time with general manager Adrian Hanauer last week and heard him say that he is encouraged about ticket sales for the coming season.
Tonight, during an interview on KJR, he articulated how well: over 40,000 per game well.
That's very well indeed, given that standard capacity for the coming season will be about 38,500. However, Hanauer said the club plans to open the upper deck again for a few games this season -- as they did last season -- and therefore hope to average above their technical capacity.
And to read between the lines a bit, there is the implication that the club is once again planning an international friendly opponent with enough drawing power to get people to buy in for a multi-game package, as Man U did last season. Hmm.
