Meanwhile, a few other soccer notes:
* The New York Red Bulls announced today that Major League Soccer and English Premiership side, Bolton Wanderers FC, have agreed to a transfer fee for Red Bulls defender and United States National Team international Tim Ream. Ream has agreed to personal contract terms with Bolton, earned United Kingdom visa approval and passed a physical. The transfer terms were not disclosed. Details here.
* Sports Illustrated has conducted an interesting draft of the best soccer players of all time.
* In MLS Western Conference news, here's a piece on the newest Colorado Rapid: Colombian midfielder Jaime Castrillon. And here's an Oregonian look at the Timbers' first game-like work of the new season.
