Here's some of what coach Sigi Schmid had to say today about that one:
On the new-look Crew) "When you're playing a bunch of new guys you don't know them as well as you know the other players, so it makes it a little more difficult for your team...Obviously they're going to have a different lineup. I'm guessing their lineup now is going to be a little more difficult, so it makes it a little harder to prepare for."
On Seattle never having lost to Columbus) "It was pointed out to me that we're only 1-0-2 against them at home. I think we've tied them twice here. Obviously, it's the team I coached before I got here, so I think the players have gone out a little bit and rewarded me at times with good performances against them. Early on, you wanted to do well against your own team, just like they do as ex-players, I do as well as the ex-coach there. It's gone well for us when we've played them, although a couple games here have been very close. I still remember [Alejandro] Moreno's goal of the diving header from [Pat] Noonan's cross. That still sticks in my mind."

On this being the last game at CenturyLink until June 20) "We know we didn't get a win in our last home game, so we definitely want to win this one. Our ability to come back and rebound, even though we have a game in between that we tied against Vancouver, is still a little like, 'OK, the last home game we lost, we're not going to lose two in a row at home.' We want to leave our fans with a good feeling, but we want to leave ourselves with a good feeling and get those points."
