The Sounders have concluded Thursday training at Starfire.
Eddie Johnson (toe/hamstring) warmed up with the team, but didn't take part in the soccer drills. Obafemi Martins (leg), however, was not seen and coach Sigi Schmid said afterward that he already has been ruled out of the second leg Tuesday at Santos. Schmid had indicated earlier that forward David Estrada (eye) would not take part in this CCL semifinal series.
"We'll see how Eddie is tomorrow," Schmid said. "Oba's situation is ... the consultation with our doctors and trainers, they didn't feel that he could play on Tuesday. He's had this injury before. He was treated by a doctor, so we've let him go back to see that doctor. He'll be back early next week. We'll be in communication and then hoepfully whatever the guy did the last time to resolve it, he'll be able to do it again."
The Sounders were reluctant to say exactly where Martins is traveling, but confirmed it will be outside the United States.
