The Sounders are off the practice pitch for another day.
The main news of the day came from the health updates. We noticed that Brad Evans and Michael Gspurning didn't take part in the team drills today. Afterward, coach Sigi Schmid clarified that Gspurning is fine but was just being given a break. Evans, however, has a calf issue that could keep him out of the CCL semfinal match Tuesday at Santos Laguna.
Eddie Johnson worked today after sitting out most of yesterday. Afterward, both he and Schmid seemed optimistic that Johnson should be available next week.
The team has an off-day before returning to training Sunday morning and then flying out to Mexico on Sunday afternoon, perhaps starting, perhaps off the bench.
