The Sounders are in Kansas City today, where on Wednesday they will meet Sporting KC and midfielder Graham Zusi, who today was voted MLS player of the week.
Here's the news from the league:
Sporting Kansas City midfielder Graham Zusi was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for week 10 of the 2013 MLS season.
Graham Zusi had one of his best performances this season, playing a critical offensive role in Sporting Kansas City’s 4-0 rout of Chivas USA. Zusi had a goal and an assist, and helped set-up a penalty for Sporting. Kansas City is now in a four-way tie for first place in the Eastern Conference.

Zusi’s assist opened up the scoring in the 41st minute when he passed the ball to Claudio Bieler who faked out goalkeeper Dan Kennedy and slotted the ball past two defenders into the net. This was Zusi’s fourth assist of the year, tying him for first place in the league this season.
Zusi scored Sporting’s third goal in the 65th minute, when he slid onto the end of a Josh Gardner cross and one-timed it into the top of the net.
Sporting Kansas City are back in action this Wednesday when they host Seattle Sounders FC at Sporting Park (8:30 p.m. ET).
The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR. The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. More information and membership information can be found at http://www.soccerreporters.com/.
