The Sounders FC U-23 will host the Washington Crossfire FC Saturday night at Starfire Sports Stadium at 8:00 p.m. The meeting will be the second of three regular season matchups between the two clubs. The Sounders U-23 won the first game on a last minute bicycle kick from Blake Wise.
The contest is the fifth straight home match for the Sounders U-23 before they hit the road for five of their final six. Last Sunday afternoon in Tumwater, Wash., the Sounders U-23 were narrowly beaten 1-0 by the current league leading club, the Portland Timbers U-23s. The Sounders U-23 (3-3-1, 10 pts.) find themselves in fourth place in the Northwest Division of the Premier Development League at the halfway point in their season.
The Redmond, Wash. based Washington Crossfire FC (2-3-1, 7 pts.) have won two of their last three matches, including a 1-0 victory over league leading Portland. After dropping a match away at the Victoria Highlanders, the Crossfire returned home to earn their second victory of the season with a 2-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23. Washington currently sits just behind the Sounders U-23 in the PDL standings in fifth place.

Both sides will be vying for three points Saturday night as the Crossfire look for their third win of the season and the Sounders try to join the upper tier of the standings.
