There was an international vibe at Sounders training today as Fredy Montero and Kasey Keller dropped by, coach Sigi Schmid left early to go watch the CONCACAF Gold Cup matches at Portland, and the international transfer window opened.
MONTERO said he was just visiting his "second home" of Seattle, and that he doesn't yet know if his outbound flight will take him back to his first home of Colombia or to Sporting Lisbon.
KELLER was in workout gear, prparing to joing the U.S. national team coaching staff staring in the Gold Cup quarterfinals.
Sporting director CHRIS HENDERSON said the club is hearing from a lot of agents and is always open to improving itself for the second half of the season. He said the access of having eight national teams in Portland and Seattle this week is a useful scouting tool.
