We asked Sigi Schmid for an upate on forward Obafemi Martins, who wasn't with his teammates at training today, after apparently suffering a knee bump with Mauro Rosales during Tuesday training.
"We wanted to go easy on him today – sort of let him self-regulate himself," Schmid said. "It was a confusing thing whether he kicks Mauro or Mauro kicked him: They sort of kicked each other. X-rays were negative, but he sort of had some swelling there today, so we just wanted him to go easy. He wasn’t planning on running out here, but he said it felt better so he came out and ran. He said it felt pretty good when he ran. Tomorrow being an off-day – treatment day – we think Friday should be fine."
