The Sounders will play for the first time tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium, the Houston Dynamo's home in its second season.
The Sounders didn't get a chance to train there, but they took a walk-through on Friday just to get a feel for the place.
“We went by there before we came to practice so the guys could see it, because I think it’s important," coach Sigi Schmid said. "Some guys like to visualize and it’s important for them to have a picture of it in their minds. It looks nice. The grass field looks super. The surface looks very good. If you can’t grow grass here, you’ve got to hand in your horticulture degree.”

BBVA Compass Stadium: A Seattle FirstSaturday's match against the Houston Dynamo will be the club's first at BBVA Compass Stadium. Sounders FC previously played four games at Robertson Stadium. Seattle has history with several venues throughout MLS. On June 27, 2010, Sounders FC played the Philadelphia Union in the first match at PPL Park, falling 3-1. On June 16, 2012, Seattle played the first match at Montreal's Saputo Stadium, losing 4-1 to the Impact. Sounders FC also played the final match at Vancouver's Empire Field on September 24, 2011, winning the Cascadia Cup with a 3-1 comeback victory. Seattle was also the first team to win at Kansas City's Sporting Park, netting two late goals to snap an eight-game home unbeaten run.
