Sounders decline option on goalkeeper Gspurning

Looks like the Sounders may be in the market for a new goalkeeper.

The Sounders announced Monday they have declined the contract option on Michael Gspurning.

Gspurning, 32, was the team's primary keeper the last two seasons.

In 2012, he was first in the MLS with 0.73 goals against average, the third-best GAA in league history. He became first goalkeeper from outside the CONCACAF region to lead MLS in GAA, and finished third in MLS Goalkeeper of the Year and MLS Newcomer of the Year.

In 2013, his GAA ballooned to 1.27 and was replaced in the lineup after giving up nine goals in two games in October.
