Sounders game in Montreal postponed until Sunday

The Montreal Impact has announced that the scheduled Sounders match there has been postponed 24 hours due to snow accumulations on the roof of Olympic Stadium.

The game is now scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Sunday ... depending again on weather conditions.

Here's the release from the Sounders:

The Seattle Sounders FC at Montreal Impact match has been postponed to Sunday, March 23, due to inclement weather. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. PT at Olympic Stadium. The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 22.

Sunday's match will be televised locally on JOEtv and regionally on ROOT Sports with Ross Fletcher and Kasey Keller on the call, and can also be heard on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. The match can be heard in Spanish on ESPN Deportes Seattle with Rene Aleman and Noe Menendez calling the action.

"The weather is beyond our control," said Head Coach Sigi Schmid. "We will stay ready and prepare to play on Sunday and hope the weather cooperates."
