Dempsey, Yedlin make USA roster; Evans does not

US SoccerU.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann has named his 23-man roster for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Sounders Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin made the team, while Brad Evans did not.

The Sounders said Evans is returning home Thursday night, however they said it is unclear if he will be on the gameday roster Saturday at Vancouver.

Also left off of the 23-man roster was Landon Donovan -- who was aiming for his fourth straight World Cup -- along with Michael Parkhurst, Clarence Goodson, Joe Corona, Maurice Edu and Terrence Boyd.
