RADIO: 97.3 FM.HEAD TO HEAD: Seattle leads 10-2-2 in league matches and 3-2-1 in Colorado. However, the last time they visited – exactly one year ago -- the Rapids won 5-1. The Sounders have swept the previous meetings this season: 4-1 on April 26, and 1-0 on Aug. 30, both in Seattle. This is the final meeting of the regular season. NOTES: The Sounders need a win to remain even with Los Angeles in the Supporters Shield and Western Conference races. A loss or a draw eliminates the Rapids from the playoff race. ... A Sounders victory would set a club record for wins in a season. … Colorado hasn’t won since July. The Rapids are winless in their last 10 games (0-8-2). Over that stretch they have lost by six goals to Los Angeles, four goals to Salt Lake and three goals to New England. … The Sounders snapped a two-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over Chivas USA last weekend. … The Rapids are 6-4-5 at home, outscoring their opponents 25-16. … Deshorn Brown leads the Rapids with nine goals, Dillon Powers is the assists leader with nine. Each is in his second MLS season. … Obafemi Martins leads Seattle with 15 goals, a club record, and 11 assists. Martins was honored as MLS player of the month for September, when he scored five goals over five games. … Seattle midfielder Gonzalo Pineda (ankle) and defenders Leo Gonzalez (hamstring) and Zach Scott (ankle) are doubtful. … Colorado signed 6-foot-6 English defender Zat Knight and he is eligible to make his debut Sunday. Defender Jared Watts returned to training after a hamstring injury that had kept him out for five weeks. However, midfielder Carlos Alvarez is out due to disciplinary suspension. … The referee is Edvin Jurisevic.QUOTABLE: “What happened last season?
