Seattle Reign FC announced today that five Reign FC players will spend the NWSL offseason overseas with various clubs from Australia’s W-League and the Scottish Premier League.
Midfielder Keelin Winters has been loaned to the Western Sydney Wanderers FC, defender Kendall Fletcher to Canberra United FC, defender Rachel Corsie to Glasgow City FC while midfielder Jess Fishlock joins Kim Little at Melbourne City FC.
Winters, who has captained Seattle's squad for the past three seasons, played in 19 matches during the 2015 NWSL regular season, starting 19 and logging one goal in 1654 minutes. The 26-year-old midfielder was acquired by Reign FC from the Chicago Red Stars during the inaugural season of the NWSL in 2013. Winters returns to the Western Sydney Wanderers FC for a second offseason, after leading the team in goals scored with five in 2014.

Fletcher, 30, appeared in 19 regular season matches (all starts) and tallied two goals and two assists in 1704 minutes. She was also voted to the 2015 NWSL Second XI team. In 2014, Fletcher was recognized as the most capped international player of Australia’s W-League having made 50 appearances after her loan in 2014 to Canberra United.
Fishlock had a banner year with Reign FC, tallying eight goals and two assists in 19 matches (all starts). After going on loan to 1. FFC Frankfurt of the Frauen-Bundesliga, the 28 year old midfielder will join the new W-League expansion side Melbourne City FC along with midfielder Kim Little. Little scored a team high 10 goals in 2015 and tallied a league high seven assists by year’s end.
Corsie, 26, will join Glasgow City FC on loan while they compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League tournament. The defender joined Reign FC prior to the start of the 2015 season and helped solidify a backline that allowed just 21 goals.
All loans are scheduled to end prior to the start of the 2016 NWSL.
