Portland wins MLS Cup, 2-1; league quickly turns to ‘16

The Portland Timbers won MLS Cup today, taking an early 2-0 lead and holding on to beat the Crew 2-1 at Columbus.

They become the first Cascadia team to win -- or play in -- MLS Cup.
