Here’s a report from the club:
Sounders U23 host Washington Crossfire on Friday June 10th before turning around to travel to Lane United on June 12th. The Sounders U23 are 2-2 early in the PDL season with the wins coming against Crossfire and Lane United. With points at a premium, the games this weekend will be competitive and exciting as the teams work toward playoff contention.
Washington Crossfire is currently 2-1-3 after six games and sitting in 2nd place in the PDL Northwest Division. Crossfire is coming off a 0-0 tie with Lane United last weekend in a tough division match up. Nathan Aune leads Crossfire from the back line with Scott Menzies and Alex Roldan leading the charge in the attack. With three games slated between the two teams over the season, points will be tough to gain and both teams will look to make their case.
Lane United have come out of the gate in 2016 ready to fight for the top spot in the Northwest Division in the PDL. The Reds currently sit at 1-1-4 and need to get back to their winning ways after losing their first game of 2016 against the Sounders U23. Ismael Fernandez has been busy for Lane United in the attack with Akeem Ward and Stefan Tomasevic have hassled the back lines in their first six games. Tomasevic scored the lone goal against Sounders U23 on June 3rd at Sunset Stadium in Sumner, Washington.
