TNT Book Club’s July selection is set. It’s a new release from author Brit Bennett

The July selection for the TNT Book Club is the new release, “The Vanishing Half: A Novel,” by Brit Bennett.

The story from the bestselling author follows twin sisters, as close as can be, who take different paths in their lives, placing them in two different worlds: one black and one white.

Tracing multiple generations of family from the Deep South to California, the novel is wide in scope while being a riveting character study.

Beverly Daniel Tatum’s “Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?” got the second-most votes, and “The Water Dancer” by Ta-Nehisi Coates came in third.

Now is the time to get reading and get ready for our virtual discussion at the end of July. We recommend getting the book from a local bookstore such as King’s Books, which offers curbside pickup.

You also can join our Facebook group to discuss the book plus get important details about upcoming discussions, updates and just general information.

Happy reading!
