Five companies have pitched plans to the city of Tacoma to redevelop Old City Hall. This was the third time the city has asked developers to propose redevelopment projects for the 125-year-old building. Proposals were due Tuesday.
After single-family home sales dipped in May, they came roaring back in June to make it one of the strongest months on record in Thurston County, according to Northwest Multiple Listing Service data released Thursday.
The 240,000-square-foot industrial and manufacturing building is in Tacoma's Nalley Valley. Its new owners plan to do routine maintenance and keep its tenants, some of whom have been there since the 1960s.
