A multi-parcel spread in the Spanaway area has sold to a Colorado-based homebuilder.

Century Communities of Washington LLC acquired properties spanning 16309 11th Ave. E., 16314 11th Ave. E. and 924 160th St. E. from an LLC affiliated with a group of area investors.

The price was $6.56 million, according to Pierce County records.

The site is next to the Landing at Spanaway Lake neighborhood and not far from Spanaway Lake High School.

A media/marketing representative for Century Communities told The News Tribune on July 2 in response to questions via email that the site at 14.4 acres will offer 71 single-family homes.

Land development is set to start this month, according to the email, with the first home starts estimated in the second quarter of next year.

The site will include a community park with play equipment.

According to Pierce County planning records, plans were under review by the county between 2023 and 2025, with a hearing examiner decision approving the preliminary plat with conditions in June 2025.
