More million-dollar homes headed to Pierce County. Here’s where and what that will buy
A housing developer who is behind a new development in the Spanaway area is launching a new project in another area of Pierce County.
Garrette Custom Homes announced this week it is launching Benston Landing, a new Graham-area development. The site offers 10 2-1/2-acre home sites along with 30 acres of preserved open space.
The development is a mile from the new Bethel High School, which broke ground in March, and prices for the new homes will start at $1 million.
The homes will feature Smart Home technology, gas fireplaces, kitchen and bathroom slab countertops, and a Holiday Gourmet appliance package with extended cabinets, built-in microwave with five-burner gas cooktop, according to the company.
Matt Lewis is president of the Puget Sound division of Garrette Custom Homes.
The new development, Lewis said in a statement, “gives buyers the opportunity to really customize an estate home adding special needs such as oversized garages, shops, generational living quarters or one of sprawling one-level plans.”
The home designs will be in the style of craftsman or modern transitional millwork.
Vancouver, Washington-based Garrette has a Tacoma office to support the company’s work in Pierce County and Puget Sound region. The Tacoma office includes a design studio, where home buyers can work with a designer to select fixtures, flooring and more.
Garrette is also the developer of Acorn Park, near Military Road South and 20th Avenue Court South next to the Wellancourt neighborhood in Spanaway. In January, Garrette announced plans for new million-dollar homes at Glacier Pointe in Tehaleh, part of that development’s second phase in the Bonney Lake area.
To launch sales at Benston Landing, Garrette will host a VIP event starting at 10 a.m. May 11 on site, whose GPS location is 6406 255th St. Ct. E., Graham. Online registration for the event is at Garrette’s website.
