Celebrate Tacoma Pride with Vicci Martinez this week. And the singer-songwriter is going to make that a whole lot easier.

The annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender celebration gets under way today.

On May 1 the national recording artist released her latest album “I Am Vicci Martinez” and today she’s making it free on Bandcamp for the next week.

“I’m very proud of (the new album.) This is the music I have always wanted to make. This is music that makes me want to dance…It’s a celebration,” Martinez said.

The album has been $7 on Bandcamp but from today (July 10) through July 18 the album will be free on the site.

“There is so much to be proud about this year and I love Tacoma and we do Pride like nobody else,” Martinez said. “I’m hoping giving away my music can be a part of the celebration in some way.”

Martinez was a contestant on the NBC talent show “The Voice” in 2011and tied for third place.

The album can be found here: https://viccimartinez.bandcamp.com/

At the site click “Buy Now” and then enter $0.00.

“I just want every single person in Tacoma, as many people as possible, to get my new music,” Martinez said.

The highlight of Pride Week occurs on Saturday when Out in the Park takes up residence for the day in downtown Tacoma.
