Food trucks, beer garden, drone show and more at Lakewood’s SummerFEST this weekend

The City of Lakewood’s annual SummerFEST is happening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Fort Steilacoom Park.

There will be food trucks, beer gardens, live music, fire dancers, a pop-up skate park, a car show, a drone show, a balloon show at dusk, market vendors and interactive sports and arts for all ages.

Some highlights

More than 25 food trucks will be selling goodies from 11 a.m. to dusk. Check out the list of vendors at the event’s website.

An international stage lineup runs from 11:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., and the Wenatchee Youth Circus is performing at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Check out the live music schedule online, featuring the House Band of Lakewood, The Olson Bros Band, The Dusty 45S, The Infinity Project and Heart by Heart.

Fire dancers perform at 8:45 p.m., followed by a 9:45 p.m. drone show and a balloon glow at dusk.

Find a map of parking at nearcation.com/summerfest#parking-and-shuttle. Less busy times are 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and after 6 p.m. Drivers can access the park from the main entrance off 87th Avenue SW or from other temporary entrances off Elwood Drive SW.

Off-site parking is available at Pierce College in Lot D. Shuttles will run about every 20 minutes and will drop people off at Steilacoom Boulevard. You can then walk down Angle Lane into the park.
