Country star Chris Young brings tour to Emerald Queen Casino
Hitting the country music world in 2006 as the winner of “Nashville Star,” Chris Young quickly distingushed himself as a top country artist. He has produced top singles on every album released inlcuding “Drinkin’ Me Lonely,” “You’re Gonna Love Me,” “I can Take It from There” and “Lonley Eyes.” With a new single out, “I’m Comin’ Over” and a new album on the horizon, Young brings his tour to the Emerald Queen Casino, 2024 E. 29th St., Tacoma. Tickets for the 8:30 p.m. concert are $40-$90 and are available through Ticketmaster.
Classic car show as part of DuPont’s Hudson Bay Heritage Days
As part of the City of DuPont’s Hudson Bay Heritage Days the Annual 5 Star Classic Car Show opens Friday at the Clocktower Park, 1400 Palisade Blvd., DuPont. A cruise in and ice cream social is 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, the car show is 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and will feature live entertainment, judged and People Choice trophies and lots of cars, especially classic glass Coverttes. Tacoma Little Theatre’s summer camp performance of “The Music Man”
See the talent of young aspiring actors at the Tacoma Little Theatre’s Summer Camp presentation of “The Music Man,” the story about the fast talking salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City.
