Kelsie Bahr Blues plays final Curran Apple Orchard concert
Get soulful at the Curran Apple Orchard Summer Concert Series. The final concert of the season will feature the Kelsie Bahr Blues at the 6:30 p.m. concert. Bring a picnic or buy from the food vendor. Bring a chair and blanket for an evening of music. Come out to the Curran Apple Orchard Park, 3920 Grandview Drive W., University Place, and enjoy the free performance. Third Fridays at Noon organ recital at Christ Episcopal Church
For this month’s Third Fridays at Noon recital, Isaac Drewes will be playing on the John Brombaugh pipe organ at Christ Episcopal Church, 310 N. K St., Tacoma. Drewes, a native of Auburn, is a church music major at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., where he studies organ with Dr. Catherine Rodland. He will play a program of music by Rachel Laurin, Dieterich Buxtehude, J. S. Bach, Marcel Dupre and Olivier Messaien. It is 12:10-1 p.m. Friday, donations will be accepted.

FISH foodbank hosts cruise-in with cars, hot rods and motorcycles
Show off your ride while supporting a great cause at the Cruisin’ Against Hunger. All are welcome from cars to hot rods to motorcycles. Bring a non-perishable food donation or monetary donation to join in the fun with all tje proceeds benefitting FISH Food Banks of Pierce County. Olympia’s Sand in the City is big beach party
Make plans for this weekend to take in Hands On Children’s Museum’s Sand in the City, is this weekend in Olympia. There will be sand sculpture contests, lots of family activities including playing in the sand, hands on arts and science activities, live entertainment and more. It’s a big beach party right in the city. Hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Experience the museum at a discounted admission of $5.50 during the weekend.
