Christina Applegate Breaks Silence After Reported Hospitalization

Christina Applegate is reassuring fans after recent reports surrounding her health.

In an Instagram post shared Monday, April 20, the Dead to Me star offered an encouraging update alongside a photo of her memoir, You With The Sad Eyes, resting beneath a coffee cup on her balcony overlooking lush greenery.

But it was Applegate's caption that quickly drew attention, as the actress directly addressed the concern that had taken over the internet the past few days.

"Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health Issues are a constant for me, but I'm a strong chick and I'm getting stronger and better everyday," she wrote. "I'm taking a moment to focus on my health, but I'll be back with more to say soon enough."

The message appeared to calm many fans after reports surfaced last week that Applegate had been hospitalized in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the actress was admitted in late March, though the exact reason for the hospitalization was not disclosed.

It also remains unclear whether the reported stay was directly connected to her multiple sclerosis diagnosis, which she first revealed publicly in 2021.

"Omg this makes my heart and soul so happy!! Thank You for the update! ❤️," one fan wrote in the comments.

Another exclaimed, "Omg, thank you for the update...✨️🫂."

"Healing vibes coming your way," a third replied.

A representative for Applegate later told Parade, "I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are. She's had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast."

The Emmy-winning actress has been candid in recent months about the realities of living with MS, discussing both the physical and emotional toll it can take. In her memoir, she shared that some mornings she struggles with basic movement, while also speaking openly about the disease in interviews.
