Why Madonna Called the Cops After Surprise Coachella Appearance

Madonna gave Coachella one of its biggest surprises this year - but it reportedly ended with a police report.

The pop icon made an unexpected appearance during Sabrina Carpenter's Weekend 2 headlining set on Friday, April 17, where the two performers stunned the crowd with a joint performance and the live debut of Madonna's new single, "I Feel So Free."

But just days later, the 67-year-old revealed that several vintage wardrobe pieces she wore for the performance had allegedly gone missing.

According to reports and info obtained by TMZ the following Monday, the singer filed a police report after noticing that archival garments - including her jacket, corset, and dress - had disappeared, along with additional items from the same era.

"These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history," Madonna wrote on Instagram while asking followers to help locate the missing pieces. She also shared that a reward is being offered for the safe return of the items, but didn't say how much.

The disappearance was especially upsetting given the emotional meaning behind the looks. During her Coachella appearance, Madonna explained that the performance marked a major full-circle moment in her career: "Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella. And that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket. So, it's like a full-circle moment, very meaningful for me."

Madonna joined Carpenter during the viral hit "Juno," with the song transitioning into "Vogue" before the pair launched into the new track.

She also paused to give the audience an impromptu astrology-themed message about communication, encouraging fans to "avoid confrontations" and remember that music brings people together.

The singer finished off her Instagram message by asking her followers to send any info about the missing pieces to infomaverick2026@gmail.com.
