First Look at Jenna Ortega in ‘Wednesday' Season 3
Netflix revealed the first glimpse intoWednesday Season 3 starring JennaOrtega with an Instagram post captioned "From Paris, with dread."
The social media entry from April 20 shows the titular character, Wednesday, has gone abroad. She stands next to a motorcycle with Thing (VictorDorobantu), the bodiless hand that works for the Addams family. Just behind them, the Eiffel Tower stands tall.
The plot of the show's upcoming installment has yet to be announced, but it seems clear that Paris will play a role.
The previous season concluded with Wednesday's close friend and roommate, Enid (EmmaMyers), running away because she was trapped in wolf form. Wednesday and Thing left to search for her, riding away in the sidecar of her uncle Fester's (FredArmisen) motorcycle.
Besides the addition of Paris, more surprises are in store. There are quite a few new cast members expected to join this season, including Chris Sarandon, OscarMorgan, KennedyMoyer, and, perhaps most excitingly, WinonaRyder.
While new to this series, Ryder has previously worked with executive producer and director TimBurton and Jenna Ortega in the 2024 film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
The show primarily films in Ireland, with production for Season 3 having begun in February.
The series is based on characters from the 1963 show The Addams Family, created by CharlesAddams. The television program ran two seasons with a combined total of 64 episodes.
The black-and-white show starred CarolynJones (Morticia), JackieCoogan (Uncle Fester), JohnAstin (Gomez), LisaLoring (Wednesday Addams), and TedCassidy (Lurch).
The series has garnered both film and television spin-offs, including Addams Family Values (1993), Addams Family Reunion (1998), and The New Addams Family (1998), with Wednesday (2022) being the most recent.
It is also one of the most successful, with the first season of the Jenna Ortega-led series becoming the most-watched English-language Netflix original of all time. It received over 252,100,000 views according to the production company.
There is no official release date for Season 3 of Wednesday, but it is expected to be available on Netflix in 2027.
