‘Resident Evil Requiem' Makes Series History With Sales Feat

There is a lot for Capcom to celebrate when it comes to the release of the latest “Resident Evil” installment, “Resident Evil Requiem.” Considering it’s been over a month since the game was initially released on February 27, 2026, the game has the highest completion rate on both Steam and PS5 of any other “Resident Evil” game (at the time of writing).

Now, the game has officially surpassed seven million units sold, and the team celebrated with a Leon-themed cake and a Grace-themed cake. This is a major milestone for the long-running survival horror series, seeing as it was essentially revived with the release of “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.”

On Steam, an average of 70% of all players have received the Rookie Agent achievement for “Resident Evil Requiem”, which asks players to complete the main storyline on at least Casual difficulty. On PS5, that number differs slightly at 66.9% of all players.
