Tom Hanks Dances to Son Chet Hanks' Stagecoach Performance in Epic Video
Tom Hanks traded the red carpet for the festival crowd this weekend to support son Chet Hanks at Stagecoach Festival.
The actor was seen inside the Toyota Music Den on Saturday, April 25, where Chet's band Something Out West took the stage. In a video that has been making the rounds on Instagram, Tom, 69, appeared fully in the moment, singing along and dancing as the group performed their track "You Better Run."
Festivalgoer Keren Ashri - who originally shared the viral vid - said she was shocked when she realized the Hollywood icon was standing nearby in the crowd.
"10 minutes into the show, I noticed him and freaked out honestly," she told PEOPLE. "I couldn't believe he was standing right there next to me! He was enjoying watching his son."
The text on her video read, "Watching Chet Hanks and realizing his dad is next to me," her caption said, "Woody!!! The day I met my idol🤩."

Something Out West includes Chet, 35, and collaborator Drew Arthur. The pair previously gave a playful nod to Tom's classic film "Forrest Gump" in the "You Better Run" music video, recreating recognizable moments from the Oscar-winning movie.
Tom reportedly kept a low-key look for the outing, but once fans recognized him, though, he was reportedly happy to chat and pose for photos.
"I finally gathered the courage and went to introduce myself and said I'm a huge fan, and he was very kind and gracious," Ashri said to PEOPLE. "A few more members in the crowd noticed him after the show was over, and he was very gracious to take a few pictures with the fans."
